- 700+ seat Auditorium
- Fine Arts Addition
- Wellness/Weight Room
- 3-Mat Wrestling Room (6,000sf)
- Elementary and Secondary Classroom Additions
- Implement related remodeling and improvements for the existing educational facility
- Remodel, repair, furnish, and equip the original 50-year-old building completed in 1967
Transportation and Site Improvements
- Construct and equip a new bus barn
- Enhance bus drop-off and pickup facilities
- Expand parking capacity
Interior Renovations
Renovate and equip various interior areas, encompassing:
- Kitchen/Cafeteria
- Library
- Interior Classrooms
- Additional Storage
- Student Breakout Areas
- Locker Rooms
Rationale
The original building, completed in 1967, no longer meets the spatial requirements to efficiently provide a 21st-century learning environment for our students.
We firmly believe that these additions and renovations are crucial, as the West Lyon School District places great emphasis on providing an exemplary learning experience for every student, spanning from preschool to our seniors. West Lyon is dedicated to nurturing collaboration, leadership, and teamwork through a plethora of activities for its students. As our student enrollment continues to grow, we are unwavering in our commitment to delivering the finest education possible. To ensure this commitment endures, it is imperative that we persist in enhancing and expanding our facilities and programs.
